Even on a night meant for actors and actresses, Adele somehow has the biggest night of all! The 85th Annual Academy Awards featured a tribute to the James Bond movie franchise, but Adele’s performance of her hit “Skyfall” ended up being an even better salute! Adele’s Amazing Oscars Performance Dressed in a stunning sparkling dress and backed by a full orchestra, the British singer killed her performance and reminded us of why we thought “Skyfall” was the perfect James Bond song in the first place. Built on top of that classic James Bond theme, “Skyfall” is soaring and Adele’s voice and style are perfect for it. She put her all into the performance, and left the crowd full of famous actors stunned in amazement. Adele took the stage as a nominee and favorite to win Best Original Song. She’s up against music from Chasing Ice, Ted, Life of Pi, and Les Miserables, but everyone – even host Seth MacFarlane – are probably realizing they have no chance against her. Watching Adele perform live it’s not hard to see why. Everyone loves her, she’s basically an American hero – even though she’s not even from here! Adele Overcomes Performance Anxiety Seeing Adele own the Oscars so flawlessly like this, it’s amazing to think that Adele suffers from crippling stage fright. And since this was her first huge performance in nearly a year, the anxiety was reportedly at an all-time high. So, the Grammy-winner apparently adopted Chinese breathing techniques. A source told Perez Hilton that British pop artist Robbie Williams’ wife taught Adele “to breathe with her diaphragm instead of her chest.” Well whatever she did – it worked! She showed no signs of stage fright and we definitely couldn’t take our eyes off of her. [endtext]
